Books ARE better than their television counterparts and this is a certified fact...with the only exception being the Vampire Diaries. Why? Well, I watched the show before I read the books and I thought, "The show is so so good...the books must be INCREDIBLE!" I started reading and I realized that the two were completely opposite except for a few basics. Even Elena's personality and looks were not the same. More importantly, the story started to get weird after the first four books but I managed to read the next three because I am a Delena fan and craved more moments. After that, the story got boring and stupid and dragged out...I couldn't go on any more. On the other hand, the show is fast-paced, thrilling, exciting and entertaining alongwith everything I expected from the books. Coming to the book I'm posting about, Stefan's Diaries follow the show's storyline thus these books are worthy of praise by default. I really enjoyed reading this and I could picture the amazing cast in my head for the characters! I am so excited for the second book which I'll start as soon as I'm done with this review! :-)

This has happened with me SO many times and not only because everytime I go out, books are the ONLY thing I am interested in spending money on but also due to a weird obsession of mine (or at least, that is what everyone else calls it). See, just READING a book isn't enough for me. If it's a good one, I'll make it a point to BUY it for myself if I see it...even if I've read it a million times already (which means it's worth it anyway)! Why??? Because I LOVE the feeling of holding it in my hands and being able to turn the pages. It's an incredibly joyful moment for me to have that book for myself...the story feels more REAL somehow. Thus, I enter a book store intending to buy the latest book in some series but I obviously don't have enough money for the ones I've already read but still want...which, by the by, are WAY too many! :-P
